Calibration is always needed to verify that your measuring instruments provide results consistent with reality. By comparing the instrument with a known reference standard, the calibration laboratory ensures that it falls within the defined limits. What is calibration?

Calibration certificate

A calibration certificate is issued after a traceable calibration and confirms that the measuring instrument has been compared with a known reference standard, i.e. a traceable standard. The reference standard is a quantity based on the seven SI base units together with a number of derived units.

Calibration statement

In some cases, it is required to present a calibration statement, which can only be issued by an accredited laboratory. A calibration statement is issued only after an accredited calibration has been performed. Please note that a calibration statement should not be confused with a calibration certificate.
