Electrical instruments

Electrical calibration is essential for ensuring accurate and traceable measurement results. Regular calibration helps companies meet quality requirements and minimize the risk of incorrect decisions in production and testing environments.
Electrical calibration
Our offer:

Ensure accurate values for voltage, current, and frequency

We offer electrical calibration in three main areas: DC/LF (low frequency), RF/microwave, and time/frequency. The calibration is performed in accredited laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025 and covers both basic and advanced electrical parameters or on-site at your facility.

Electrical parameters we calibrate:

  • Voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, inductance
  • Time, frequency, pulse width, period
  • Signal strength, reflection coefficient, attenuation

We also handle more complex parameters such as S-parameters, modulation, and noise levels, ensuring reliable results across every application.

The service always includes a digital calibration certificate, easily accessible via our Metech Instrument Organizer, MIO™, for smooth traceability and follow-up.

Calibration across a wide range of instruments

Electrical calibration covers everything from handheld devices to advanced laboratory equipment. Our experts handle instruments from all major brands and models, ensuring that each one delivers accurate, traceable, and reliable measurement results. Whether used in production, testing, or research, we adapt the calibration to your requirements and industry standards.

Typical instruments we calibrate:

  • Multimeters
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Current clamps
  • Spectrum analyzers
  • Signal generators
  • Clamp meters
  • Power meters
  • Function generators
  • Pulse generators
  • FFT analyzers
  • High-voltage instruments
  • Calibrators
  • EMC and medical equipment

What is electrical calibration?
Electrical calibration is the process of verifying and adjusting electrical measuring instruments against traceable references to ensure accurate readings in line with international standards. It is essential for reliable measurements in quality-critical environments.
Do you offer on-site calibration?
Yes. We provide on-site calibration services at your location to minimize downtime and simplify logistics – ideal for large instrument fleets or sensitive environments.
Which industries use electrical calibration?
The service is widely used in industries such as manufacturing, electronics, medical technology, automotive, research, and defense – wherever precise and traceable measurements are essential.
How often should electrical instruments be calibrated?
The frequency depends on usage intensity, safety requirements, and internal quality routines. Annual calibration is generally recommended as a minimum.
