London, UK – May 13, 2022 – Following the acquisition in 2021, Element has completed the rebranding of KDK Kalibrierdienst Kopp to Element Metech KDK, further expanding Element Metech’s presence in Germany.
Element Metech KDK will continue to offer services related to mobile and stationary calibration, the coordination of measuring technology, and test equipment management. The rebrand was officially celebrated with a ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Wiesloch in May.
Among the invited guests welcomed by laboratory manager Florian Kümmel was former owner Wolfgang Kopp, who founded KDK in 1994. Several other employees were also honored for their years of service as part of the celebration.
Thomas Etzold, Managing Director of Element Metech Germany, said: “The commitment of the employees in Wiesloch has been outstanding from the very beginning. We look forward to many more successful years and to growing together in the future. With the integration of KDK, we are expanding our presence in southern Germany, a key hub for industry, where we have already welcomed top tier companies as customers, and where aim to gain even more.”
Matt Hopkinson, EVP of EMEAA at Element, said: “The acquisition and integration of KDK fits very well with our strategy to build a high-quality and integrated calibration offering across Germany. We look forward to investing further in this growth in 2022 and beyond.”
Element Metech operates more than 20 calibration laboratories in five European countries. The German sites are located at the headquarters in Norderstedt near Hamburg, and in Bremen, Wiesloch and Hennigsdorf, near Berlin.
