Element Metech signs a framework agreement with a maximum volume of $13 million for the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) comprising calibration and metrological services. The framework agreement comprises three bidding areas. Included in the agreement are FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces. This is the largest contract that Element Metech has been awarded by these customers, and it will mean major investments in competence and materials.
Element Metech AB, Sweden’s leading supplier of calibration and metrological services, has signed a framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) with a maximum volume of $13 million, based on a 3-year contract with an option for 2 + 2 year extensions. The contract also includes the provision of calibration and metrological services to the Swedish Armed Forces.
The contract comprises metrological support, consulting services, technical system support, calibration services for measurement devices and instruments, etc. The work will be conducted both at the clients’ premises and at Element’s own premises.
Element Metech has a very long relationship with FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces, from when the company went under different names and ownerships. However, the new contract means a significant growth of Element’s calibration business. Element will make large investments in competence and materials in its facilities throughout Sweden to handle this.
The contract which Element was awarded was divided into three separate bidding areas where suppliers could apply to compete. Björn Kullman, Division Director for Element Sweden, is very pleased with the agreement.
I am really happy about this! This is a very large contract that means a lot for us both financially and operationally. This agreement further solidifies Element’s position as a leading supplier of technically demanding services to the defence and technology industries, says Björn Kullman and continues:
We strive to establish long-term relationships with our clients, built on trust, and this contract serves as a testament to our expertise in this critical and sensitive field. Now we look forward to continuing working with FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces to deliver services of the highest possible quality, says Björn Kullman.
