Element expands its mobile calibration capabilities

Jun 4, 2024

Element is undergoing a significant expansion of its mobile calibration services. This strategic enhancement aims to offer on-site calibration, with shorter lead times and increased availability for our existing and new customers.

As a full-service provider of calibration and metrology services, Element strives to be at the forefront of efficiency. After signing a major contract with one of our customers, Element is investing in an innovative, mobile calibration laboratory. The mobile laboratory, which is approximately 40 square meters in size, can accommodate up to five workstations. This, combined with efficient internal logistics management, ensures extremely short lead times for our customers. At launch, the mobile calibration laboratory will primarily focus on the calibration of high-frequency electrical instruments (DC to 50 GHz), such as signal generators, signal/spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, radio testers, power sensors/meters, etc. Since the concept is based on the mobile calibration laboratory being easily reconfigured with other equipment, its future technical capabilities can be determined on a case-by-case basis according to customer requirements.

“The expansion of our mobile calibration capabilities marks a significant milestone in our commitment to meeting the dynamic needs of our customers. With this investment, we are not only responding to customer demands but also proactively shaping the future of calibration services.”

“These advancements in our mobile laboratories exemplify our commitment to Operational Excellence. By bringing our first-class calibration services directly to our customers’ locations, we are setting new industry standards.”
Jenny Bylerius, Site Manager at Element Metech Gothenburg.

Element’s existing mobile unit in Arboga is also undergoing an upgrade to enhance its capacity for calibrating low-frequency electrical instruments (DC-1GHz), such as multimeters, current clamps, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and electrical safety testers. Together, these units will serve the entire country of Sweden, following a schedule designed in consultation with our customers.
